Sony Vaio viral – say NO! to social media. Quite funny. Love the cushions too!
Bandwagon – AIMIA’s (Australian Interactive Media Association) term for social media, not mine, never refuted or retracted. Ah well. The Awards page. Social Media people – remember, this is limited to a hundred or so members, most of whom are agencies so don’t take it too seriously. The times, they are a-changin’: Amazon may offer DRM-free music from major labelsAmazon seems set to open a mainstream online music store as early as next month, and aims to follow the new EMI/Apple model of offering tracks unencumbered with DRM.The company already sells music from a number of independent labels, but has reportedly approached the majors with a proposal to offer unprotected MP3 tracks from their catalogues. EMI has already indicated a willingness to provide unprotected tracks in any format a retailer cares to sell, so it would be surprising if a EMI/Amazon deal wasn’t imminent. One card Amazon Continue Reading…

I was able to grab a word with Kim Williams, Foxtel CEO yesterday, and ask if this piece of Citizen TV goodness was coming to Australia and he said … ‘we are Continue Reading…
I had to give this bloglet that heading so that Erietta would come visit. She only sees the headings in her aggregator. The two brands are looking for Britain’s best new band, inviting unsigned acts from across the country to upload tracks to the Web site, while asking visitors and NME magazine readers to vote online for their favourites. What’s your worst marketing nightmare? Hmmm, your consumers don’t just get bad service and tell a friend or two, but they start a web site to diss you, and potentially pull in a squillion readers? And then they get together with other unhappy clients and moan about you some more? The Consumerist is just such a blog. From the welcome page: Welcome, internet, to The Consumerist, the latest title from Gawker Media. The Consumerist loves to shop, and is reconciled to utilities, but hates paying for shoddy products, inhumane customer support, and half-assed service. Each week The Consumerist will guide Continue Reading…
