Pacific Magazines is Australia’s most innovative publisher of mass women’s, homemaker, fashion, men’s & youth titles. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Online Content Producer to work across our WHO and Bride to Be websites.
Reporting to the Head of Digital, you will be responsible for:
• Overall editorial integrity of both websites
• Sourcing, writing, proofreading & uploading content utilizing the content management system that has been put in place
• Creating relevant alliances & partnerships to build brand awareness, positioning, content and profitability.
With an awareness of emerging online journalism trends (social networking, blogs, RSS, interactive storytelling), you will come up with innovative ways to extend the brands into compelling and category leading websites in their relevant sectors.
You will have a passion for the internet and a demonstrated ability to understand the online space and the content opportunities within it. A university degree is essential as is a passion and understanding of the entertainment industry both here and abroad. You will have an informed understanding of current affairs, world news and pop culture. You must also have HTML and Photoshop skills and be comfortable working with Internet communications and publishing tools / protocols.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure integration between the sites and their print magazines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as writing experience are a must.
You must have the ability and desire to work effectively and maintain focus in a fast-paced, fun, but often chaotic environment. Previous experience working within a media or online environment would be beneficial.
