Does anyone out there in pixel-land know what sort of solutions Smart Digital would have for user generated content? I think they are talking about software/plugins – Sorenson video compression, plugins for Final Cut and Zaxwerks animation. I must be silly – it never occurred to me that traditional high end graphics hardware and software manufacturers now have a wider demographic to distribute too – I remember when everything had to be done on Silicon Graphics. The Press are so determined to thrust down our throat that user gen is crap and low quality that hobbyists with high end solutions escape notice. Plus plugins work on pirate copies of video software too. Heh. Or perhaps its their Smart Digital Training services. They resell tonnes of classes for example How to Podcast and VideoCast CDs.
