The lovely Rachel Slattery sends me an email every so often (The Watch, The Leading Weekly Newsletter on Australian eBusiness) with events and this is the one I’m off to tomorrow night, TiE – Entrepreneurs changing Society:

TiE is honoured to present Michael Traill and Jack Heath to discuss the way entrepreneurs can make a difference to society.
Michael Traill will present his unique perspective on issues of work-life balance and the
interaction between corporations and the community. Michael will discuss his reasons for founding Social Venture Australia, a not-for-profit organisation which uses relevant business principles and skills from the commercial sector to work in partnership with entrepreneurs to help combat some of Australia’s social problems.
Jack Heath will outline how and why he founded the Inspire Foundation. The Inspire Foundation combines the power of technology with the face-to-face involvement of young people to run programs such as ReachOut! which addresses youth suicide and BeanBag to help bridge the digital divide and address the educational, employment and social needs of young people living in our most underserved communities.

You may remember I discussed ReachOut and community vs portal in this article earlier in the week. Well its time to go and ask some questions methinks :).
