Publish Once, Sell Anywhere
AV Publish, Navio’s core product, offers a powerful “publish once, sell anywhere” value proposition to content providers, media companies, mobile carriers, ISPs, and portals. AV Publish makes it easy to catalog digital goods, and to package rights to them as product offers. The key to “rights-based commerce,” these can be made available in any number of venues – simultaneously – in a web storefront, on mobile devices, within online communities, in traditional media, or even physical retail locations. Thanks to this rights-based approach, multiple digital product types can easily be drawn together into a single, compelling consumer offering, including downloadable music, games, video, mobile content, and more. The files themselves are drawn from one or more content management systems that make up what is essentially a virtual fulfillment network.
Its called ‘superdistribution’ and if you have $USD20million+, Navio are closing their second round of financing. Though it looks like Fox might beat you to it:
Fox Music’s store is also designed to be the foundation for its many ongoing cross-promotions with other 20th Century Fox divisions, including Fox Home Entertainment, Fox Sports.com, Harper Collins and the Fox Movie Channel. At launch, Fox Music has partnered with Fox Home Entertainment to offer a Loyalty Points Rewards program which allows customers to earn points for each purchase it makes through the store. Loyalty Points can be redeemed for great offers on DVD’s from Fox Home Entertainment. Other intra-company promotional projects built around the storefront are being added to next year’s marketing calendar.
Oh wait! Did I see an online loyalty program? Yep Fox Rewards – crappy rewards, not user-friendly, don’t bother. Shame. Still in search of the ultimate online loyalty program.
