ChatGPT’s version (which do you prefer?)
- “Navigating the complexities of vineyard management? Discover how effective prompting with free GPT tools can enhance your communication strategies, tailored specifically for the wine industry.”
- “Embrace AI as a creative ally in your winery’s operations. Explore how free artificial intelligence tools can assist in creating visually appealing designs for your brand, from labels to digital content.”
- “Learn about the versatility of Wrappers: these customised GPTs and AI assistants can streamline the organisation of your vineyard’s strategic plans, product information, and financial records.”
- “Addressing the unique challenges of wine production? We delve into specific AI tools designed to tackle those distinct tasks you encounter in your winery’s day-to-day operations.”
- “Enhance your presentations with Microsoft 365 Copilot. This session guides you through using GPT to craft compelling PowerPoint presentations, elevating your winery’s storytelling and engagement.”
- “Discover the feasibility and benefits of running a private, powerful GPT model on your laptop – a valuable asset for enhancing decision-making and efficiency in your winery.”
- “Looking ahead: A strategic discussion on the role of AI in shaping the future of winemaking. We’ll explore how AI can influence market trends and optimise sales strategies.”
Both are accurate but have a different voice. Initially ChatGPT was too sales-y for me – so I asked it to be informal but professional.
Let’s just take ONE learning outcome – Better Prompting for Wine Makers – and dig in a little deeper
“Mastering the Art of AI Prompting in Viticulture:”
- Understanding AI Prompting: Begin with the basics of AI prompting. Learn how to frame your questions and requests to an AI tool in a way that is both specific to the wine industry and yields the most useful information. For instance, crafting prompts for analysing soil quality data, predicting weather patterns that affect vine growth, or even understanding consumer wine preferences.
- Custom Prompts for Vineyard Insights: Delve into creating tailored prompts that can extract valuable insights about vine health, pest control, and harvest timings. This helps in making more informed decisions about pruning, irrigation, and fertilisation, leading to better grape quality and yield.
- Advanced Prompting Techniques: Explore advanced techniques like chaining prompts for deeper analysis or using prompts to generate creative marketing content. For example, generating descriptions for new wine varieties or creating unique storytelling for your wine label.
- Interactive Learning with AI: Encourage hands-on sessions where participants can interact with AI tools to create prompts based on their specific vineyard scenarios. This could include predicting the impact of climate change on their specific grape varieties or optimising the timing for wine fermentation processes.
- Analysing AI Responses for Strategic Decisions: Train in interpreting the responses from AI to make strategic decisions for the winery. Whether it’s about selecting the right market for your wine, understanding global wine trends, or even budgeting and financial planning.
- Continuous Learning and AI Updates: Emphasise the importance of staying updated with the latest in AI developments. AI tools are constantly evolving, and staying informed can provide a competitive edge in the fast-paced wine industry.
- Practical Applications and Case Studies: Include real-world examples and case studies where AI prompting has successfully helped wineries improve their operations, from small family-owned vineyards to large-scale producers.

NOTE: In case you are interested, my first career was wine, my second restaurants. I wasn’t brilliant at either – but you are! – still, I am very good at AI. 🙂 I’ve taught a number of wineries and have a reasonable understanding of what would help most in the sector. Please contact me if you have questions.
