We are looking for an energetic Senior Web Adviser to join our enthusiastic and motivated team working on a high-profile sustainability project. We have developed an exciting website
(www.sustainability.govt.nz) that we want to take to the next level of interactivity and usefulness.The website requires a Senior Adviser who is informed and passionate about the environment to research, write and post regular blogs, news, events and case studies and to suggest and moderate forum discussion items. The focus of this role is on the applicant’s ability to write content, not their technical skills. Your job will be to work with the Household Sustainability team to produce website content that is inspiring, relevant, and informative.
The Ministry wants to develop and grow the website and your job will be to contribute significantly to this. You will drive the project to plan and implement the next phase of the site to increase its relevance, use and interactivity.
The successful applicant will have:
• passion and knowledge about the environment and New Zealand’s current
environmental issues
• good writing skills – journalism experience would be advantageous
• experience in blogging and moderating an online forum
• initiative, for example, in identifying stories for blogs
• experience in project work
• relationship management skills
• the ability to work in a team and independently.HTML editing skills and video digitisation would be an advantage, but are not mandatory.
This contract will be for a fixed term and will run for 19 weeks from 18 February until 27 June 2008. We will consider applicants wishing to work part-time but for no less than 25 hours per week.
