Exploring and Building your own Video Social Community
Description

Im fed up with not having any comrades in my immediate area to discuss internet/online issues important to me, issues like video sharing, online social communities, internet freedom, DRM etc etc.

Im starting this group for die hard technies/internet fenatics that are looking to one day have there own online business.

I want to build a community of contacts of like minded people who all share the same goal of one day quiting there day jobs and going full time into there own online businesses.

This event is a social one where we share experiences and potentially mentor each other.

A prerequisite to attending is a strong desire to succeed online. To build your own online presence, market that presence and turn that presence into a viable business. Theres no playing around in these meetings!

To attend just sign up, there are limited spots and in reality were going to be discussing involved topics around how the internet works etc.. (a very intense thinking session)

Session 1 will involve:

1. Discuss Social news networks (Digg / Slashdott / Netscape etc)
2. Discuss Video sharing and associated social networks (youTube, metacafe etc)
3. Discuss ideas for online business models around 1 and 2
4. Everyone should come with ideas of there own. Everyone should contribute to this event for it to be successful!

About the orgainzer:

LiquidBoy (aka Jose Fajardo (me)) is on a mission to succeed in 2007. I want to quit my job this year and go full time into an online business. I have many ideas and i have a good understanding of the internet and most aspects of social communities. I believe that the future of the net lies in these social communites, particularly around sharing media content like videos. This group is mainly to help me share and bounce my ideas off other technically adept people. Sharing and conversing with like minded people is key to my success this year! (the event home page is my first attempt at building my first social community, i will be discussing it and the concepts around it in the first session)
