Dr Michelle Mars

Update: Michelle’s new site.
My friend from Massey University in New Zealand is Michelle Mars. Today she was interviewed by Kate O’Toole at Triple J’s hack program about, of all things, designer vaginas. Have a listen to her recorded interview – it’s an intriguing phenomenon.

If you’re a major fan of the Brazillian… you’ll wanna know about this! 2 academics at MASSEY University in New Zealand reckon that the designer vagina has inflitrated pop culture – so much so – that there’s not alot of room for full bush anymore.

Are we really such sheep? It reminds me of Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. The book that made Metaverses popular waaay before Second Life, he spoke of a word-of-mouth virus called a nam shub and meta viruses that can jump from machine to human and back again. A bit like staring at Britney getting out of a car with no undies on… (listen to Michelle’s recording and you’ll know what I mean).

I lead a truly bizarre life šŸ™‚ Anyway, apparently the media are having trouble contacting Michelle (I’m spreading the GoogleJuice) so here’s her details. you can email her at m.s.mars@massey.ac.nz
