If I made a commercial for Trader Joe’s.

One day I was taking a photo of a primitive but lovely hand-drawn chalk sign when a manager came running over to tell me cameras aren’t allowed in Trader Joe’s. Well, he didn’t say anything about cell phones so I decided then and there to make a commercial for TJ’s on my Treo. Up until now they haven’t done any TV advertising at all so I have no idea if this is the kind of thing they would like.

err no, probably not, but…

…you guys decide. 😛 *shrugs* it doesn’t have to be vicious or angry – a wry look at the authentic shopping experience, at grocer Trader Joes. He likes the yummymummies  and is gobsmacked at bulls’ penises. Well, aren’t we all? Heh.

Competitions asking consumers to create an ad or a design are passe and have been for a while. You’d be lucky to get many these days participating. Even four years ago, ‘user generated ad agencies’ were showing signs of fatigue. But spontaneous ‘we love’ or ‘we hate’ will always be in fashion.

Hat Tip, podcast I am on over at MarketingMag.
