eBay makes more money from it’s APIs than it does from onsite auctions. So does SaaS Salesforce. So does Amazon. Apparently RyanAir is choosing not to do that: Ryanair blocks ‘illegal’ bookings Ryanair is to cancel thousands of its own customers’ bookings after they were made through internet travel agents whose activities it says are illegal. The airline is targeting price comparison websites on which you can buy Ryanair flights without having to go directly to the Irish firm’s site. Our children observe a world filled with advertising and emulate it in their graffiti. Are they responsible for not understanding that only certain people can dump branding on certain walls? Advertising is branding and expression of the company. Graffiti is self-branding and self-expression of the individual. Does that make it wrong? MoMoSyd is on tonight and I’m going: Introducing XumiiFounded in San Francisco by Australian entrepreneur Jennifer Zanich, Xumii was an award-winning mobile internet application before it’s beta version was even launched. One of this year’s VentureBeat DigitalMedia “Mobile Beat” Top 30 picks (along with another early MoMo Sydney guest Mig33), Xumii “gives you a centralized way to aggregate contacts and feeds from your social networks and IM, and stay connected by sharing messages, widgets and photos via IM, threaded chat, groups and mobile walls.” (more here) I joined Winkspace late last year.
